Chuchuhuasi, also spelled chuchuwasha, chuchuasi, chocha huasha, and chuchuhuasca, is the name of a medicinal tree native to the Amazon rain forest where natives have used decoctions from its bark and infusions from its leaves to treat and cure a variety of health problems. Among the health problems they've successfully treated down through the centuries with this God-given medicine are arthritis, infections, tumors, some forms of cancer, upset stomach, and headache. The list is actually much longer. Chuchuhuasi contains several all natural "chemicals" responsible for its health-giving properties. For example, tingenone and pristimerin are believed to be substances in chuchuhuasi that provide its ability to help fight against skin cancer. And, the alkaloids maytansine and mayteine are documented to be effective against a variety of tumors.
Enhancement of the immune system appears to come from the property of the herb to stimulate the immune system by encouraging it to literally attack and destroy various bacteria, mutated or cancer cells, and other cells that the immune system recognizes as harmful "outsiders." The powerful and all natural medicines found in almost all parts of the earth are amazing and are intended to be the only medicine chest that man should need. Although scientific research is being conducted on the medicinal properties of chuchuhuasi, it should not be endorsed because it involves and supports cruel research on animals which is unnecessary.
The natives of the Amazon region are the best source of information on how chuchuhuasi should and should not be used. First, they are experts in the use of the herb and they are not mice and rats and frogs. Therefore, their experience and knowledge should be placed above what was "discovered" in a laboratory where experiments on animal were conducted. Also, there's no evidence of genuine interest in helping to rid man of his diseases by researching what is already known, only to patent a new prescription "medicine" and slap an enormous price on it.
One thing that needs to be pointed out when it comes to chuchuhuasi or any other all natural medicine is the reminder that no herb is a magical cure for the numerous ailments that develop from refusal to lead a healthy lifestyle.
