How to Lower High Blood Urea

Today with hemochromatosis we're still analyzing a new biochemical parameter that you will also see in your tests. We remind you that not only are we interested in the level of blood ferritin, but that there are hundreds of readings that an analysis provides. And, the way I see it, they provide a lot of information. I think it's a good idea for you to have at least a basic understanding of what's going on in your body.
Urea
It is the main end product of the metabolism of proteins, formed for the most part in our prime organ, the liver. To better understand, let's say that you eat a slice of meat. Your body absorbs and is nourished by the amino acids in the meat and forms urea as a waste product, which is formed in the liver and eliminated predominantly through urine--around 35 grams per day, which is a good amount.
Normal Value: from 8 to 20 mg/dl
Urea, along with creatinin, which we took a look at in a previous article, are the two principle findings for evaluating how well our kidneys are working. If in our sickness we have high ferritin, it's something on which we must keep an eye. We've learned that urea is formed in the liver. And, if it is overloaded, its normal function could be affected and high urea could show up.
Lower High Blood Urea
Lower your intake of foods rich in protein, of animal origin, red meats, and alcoholic beverages, which is just what we've cut down on. And, as always, drink plenty of water, preferably of good quality. It's the key to cleansing and to helping your body to eliminate impurities.
That's it for today. I know that all of these explanations sound complicated. But, hopefully it just sounds that way, maybe just a little bit.
