Let Us Stop Referring to Evil As Mental Illness

I was at the Northeast Iowa Food Bank a few days ago when I, along with others, observed the cutest kid who looked to be about four. He was accompnied by an adult holding his hand--nothing unusual about that-- except she stood for at least forty-five minutes even when a seat became available, holding this child's hand up for that long. I heard others remark how cute he was. But if he looked around at the different people she yanked his arm, dragging the child in front of her and sheilding our view of him; this totally prevented his interaction with people. If he peeked around her, she'd yank him back into position where he could only look at the front of her body. There is cause for concern over her behavior. People don't know what to do when seemingly, there is nothing concrete to report. However, I wonder if there weren't the slightest signs shown before those girls in recent news, were tortured, and starved to death. There are some wicked people out there, who are well aware that their actions are evil. Let's stop referring to evil as mental illness. The mean action that I and others witnessed towards that little child were motivated by the desire to control and manipulate others, which is evil. This behavior towards vulnerable people and animals demands punishment--not treatment.
