Is Anyone Too Far Gone Even for God's Forgiveness?
In the New Testament scripture of St. John 10:10 Jesus warned that, "The thief cometh not but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I am come that they might have life...." This is one of many biblical passages to keep in mind when struggling with accepting God's forgiveness.
The "thief" has many names in scripture: the devil, Satan, the serpent, Lucifer, etc. The use of various names helps to identify the very purpose, work, and character of this being. "Thief" is one of his names that is seldom taken seriously enough, but it must be remembered that scripture warns that this particular thief not only steals; he also kills both spiritually and naturally. Convincing people that they are too far gone for God's forgiveness is one of many ways in which he steals the blessing of salvation. When Jesus spoke to those who sought in their minds to kill him, though they hadn't spoken such intentions yet, he related their murderous intentions to the will of the father of murders. He said, "Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning" (St. John 8:44).
While actual, real murders are the work of the thief, spiritual murders are no less a part of his agenda. His work of robbery, destruction and killing always involves lies and the creation of a falsehood in order to deceive. At all times he seeks to steal, kill, and destroy a man's salvation, his belief in God which compels his obedience to the gospel, including trust in God's forgiveness.
There are some people who have committed such atrocious and shocking deeds that they believe they are too far gone even for God's forgiveness. However, is this what God's word says? If it isn't, such a belief must be labeled as a lie, as are all doctrines that contradict what the scriptures proclaim.
The scripture of 1 John 1:9 says, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."
The passage does not say that only some of a man's sins will be forgiven. It doesn't say that only the sins of people who haven't done terrible things will be forgiven. It doesn't say that the wicked who repent will only be cleansed partially. It declares a cleansing from ALL unrighteousness for those who confess and repent. In fact, such "restrictions" are fabricated by the thief who comes to steal the hope of those wanting to be free, to kill their desire for God's help, and to ultimately destroy their soul. Rejection of God's forgiveness is bondage itself.

I was a true saved holy spirit Christian. I sinned against God willfully I believe but after a series of being robbed of my joy, jealous people, and thieves broke me down until I eventually gave up hope and started drinking again and then fornicated a few times. This happened after I was walking with the Lord very powerfully for a few years. Is there any forgiveness for me?

You still question God's forgiveness after reading (in the article) the scripture of 1 John 1:9, which says, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." Perhaps the message of the scripture of Hebrews 10:26 is causing this questioning? Hebrews 10:26 speaks of there remaining no more sacrifice for those who sin wilfully. HOWEVER, the fact that we can't expect forgiveness for wilfull sin does NOT mean that as soon as we CEASE to commit wilfull sin that we can't be forgiven. This is what repentance is all about--a change of the will. The only sin that we know of for which there is no forgiveness is the blasphemy of the Holy Spirit. ALL other sin is forgiven by God when we confess and STOP sinning wilfully.
