Echinacea for Infection: One of the best herbal remedies God Provided

The Benefits of Echinacea
Echinacea, sometimes listed as Echinacea Purpurea when it is an ingredient in products, is an alterative, parasiticide, antiseptic, and analgesic. An alterative is a substance that helps to purify the blood. A parasiticide kills parasites. An antiseptic, when applied to the skin (used externally), helps to prevent the growth of bacteria. An analgesic helps to relieve pain. It is no wonder that the practice of using echinacea for infection is steadily growing.
How Does Echinacea for Infection Work?
Among other benefits of echinacea is the fact that this wonderful herb helps to cleanse the lymphatic system, which plays a vital role in helping the body to defend itself against disease. When this herb is consumed, the lymphatic system is actually stimulated--a fact that has been scientifically proven.
In times past this all natural, herbal medicine that God provided was used to treat skin wounds, insect bites, and gangrene, until a surgeon could perform an amputation. It was even used to treat snake bites while transporting a victim to the hospital or waiting on the arrival of a medical doctor. The historic use of echinacea for infection attests to its effectiveness. Nevertheless, you should never attempt to treat gangrene, snake bites or any other life-threatening condition yourself when modern medicine is available. In times past, herbal "drugs" were used very successfully in ancient medicine. However, most of the ancients also ate an all natural diet, which was free of chemicals, pesticides, preservatives, and genetically modified ingredients. Therefore, they hardly ever suffered the diseases so common in modern man who has strayed away from the natural foods God intended for him to eat.
Who Should Not Use Echinacea for Infection?
People who suffer from any type of auto-immune disease should not use this herb to fight infection. Remember, echinacea stimulates the immune system, which could prove harmful is auto-immunity is present. Consult with your doctor before using this herb.
Fighting Infection the Natural Way
The Lord equipped man with an immune system to help him to fight off infection. Echinacea for infection is so effective because it assists the body to do its job whether fighting a bacterial or viral infection. This is one of the reasons why many people have successfully been able to employ this herbal medicine along with a natural antibiotic such as raw
garlic, as an alternative to the use of dangerous chemical antibiotics.
Echinacea Side Effects and Safety
Echinacea side effects sometimes include nausea and dizziness. These side effects generally are alleviated by consuming a little licorice at the time of consuming the herb.
According to the Way of Herbs by Michael Tierra, C.A.,N.D., "The amazing thing about this plant (echinacea) is that it is apparently nontoxic (p. 123)." Does this mean that you can continually use echinacea for infection without worry? No, it does not. Again, this herb stimulates the immune system. You don't want to induce stimulation of the immune system on a nonstop basis. Sadly, far too many people think that because something is all natural, it must be completely safe. Such erroneous thinking has caused much harm in the use of echinacea for infection and in the use of other herbs for other health problems.
To think that all natural, herbal medicines are as safe as drinking water is to make the grave mistake of underestimating their great medicinal power. This is part of the reason why some people don't trust herbs to treat serious illness, including cancer. Nevertheless, numerous people have recovered from
cancer using nothing but all natural medicines. These people never underestimated the power of the herbs with which they were treated. Herbs must be respected, because properly used, they can cure, and improperly used, they can kill. Remember that in ancient times, all natural, herbal poisons were used to carry out executions and to
commit suicide.
How to Use Echinacea for Infection
If you really want to return to the use of all natural medicines, do not purchase tinctures, formulas, pills, or "potions" labeled as "all natural." Instead, opt for the use of the
bulk herb, preferably organically grown or wild crafted. You can make your own herbal tincture, herbal pills, and herbal tea once you have the bulk herb.
How much echinacea do you take? If the ailment is acute, the generally recommended dosage is one teaspoon of the tincture every hour or two. You can also grind the herb into a powder and fill two "00" size capsules to be taken every hour or two. Alternatively, you could drink echinacea tea in the amount of a cupful 5-6 times per day. Do not sweeten. Most types of infection thrive in sugar. If you just insist on a
sweetener, opt for stevia or just a little honey.
Based on true events, The Third Man by Angela Sheffield, brings the Bible up close and personal as the characters face real issues of life: Betrayal, deceit, romance, bitterness, anger against God, hopelessness, will power, perplexity, triumph, unforgiveness, mental illness, and the "Alcohol made me do it" excuse.
