Scripture of The Day - 1 John 4:1
Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world
Dynamic Bible Study for New Christians
God stressed in the scriptures the extreme importance of learning his word, which is why we have decided to offer some guidance in the area of Bible study for new Christians. We read in Psalm 138:2 that king David said to the Lord, "...Thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name." What does that mean? It means that God considers his word to be above even his holy names, which are now "consolidated" into one name: JESUS.

Biblical Tithing During Times of Financial Hardship
Throughout the holy scriptures from Genesis to Revelation the Lord emphasizes over and over that it is imperative to learn and retain his word with full intention to put it into daily practice. Again, this is why we are now offering guidance for Bible study for new Christians. The word of God tells us that Jesus is our wisdom (1 Corinthians 1:24) and that he is the living Word of God who was made flesh and came to earth (St. John 1:1, 14). So, we can see that we are literally being urged to learn from Christ when we read scriptures such as the following:
"Get wisdom, get understanding. Forget it not..." (Proverbs 4:5).
"Wisdom (Jesus) is the principal thing; therefore, get wisdom; and with all thy getting get understanding" (Proverbs 4:7).
Bible study for new Christians is imperative. Not only is there much to learn, there is also the need to learn how to correctly apply biblical scripture to real life problems, issues, and situations. This is why we read, "Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman (servant) that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing (making proper use) of the word of truth (God is truth)" (2 Timothy 2:15).
So, what truths should be learned in Bible study for new Christians? While some new believers in Jesus need to focus on topics and questions that are unique to their situation or issues that are personal, there are certain truths that are the very foundation of the doctrine of Christ. Our experience in ministry has taught us that Bible study for new Christians should cover certain topics, because knowledge of those topics helps to root and ground the "baby" Christian in the doctrine of our Lord.
The apostle Paul warned that we, "...henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind (new) doctrine by the sleight (strategies) of man, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive (us)" (Ephesians 4:14). Paul firmly believed in and knew how to guide new believers in Jesus in Bible study for new Christians.
The things that, sadly, we have found to be MISSING in the guidance that is offered to most new believers in Jesus include: the importance of the baptism of the Holy Ghost, the divinity of Jesus, the seriousness with which Bible study should be conducted, and rapid identification of the dangerous spirit of anti-Christ. Bible study for new Christians at Heavenly Manna has not left out coverage of any of these things. So, let's get started.

Based on true events, The Third Man by Angela Sheffield, brings the Bible up close and personal as the characters face real issues of life: Betrayal, deceit, romance, bitterness, anger against God, hopelessness, will power, perplexity, triumph, unforgiveness, mental illness, and the "Alcohol made me do it" excuse.
